About Karen Jonas

Karen spent the first 20 years of her life on a small farm in a Mennonite village where she learned the value of hard work and the built in wisdom of the natural world. Living in a farming community provided an opportunity to observe the impact of nature’s delicate long term balancing act. It also reinforced the value of patience when waiting for optimum results.

In the 1980’s she visited a naturopath, specializing in homeopathy. to get rid of 2 large warts. She had received
liquid nitrogen treatments every 3-4 weeks for 4 years but the warts were just getting bigger.

The homeopath gave her some small sugary pills for 3-4 months and told her that the warts would disappear
forever. In her opinion this couldn’t be any worse than the liquid nitrogen and was worth a try. 16+ years later
the warts are still gone!

In 1995 she began her 4 year homeopathy training program at the Toronto School of Homeopathic Medicine
where she studied classical homeopathy, anatomy, physiology and pathology. Jonas Health Centre opened in 1998.

First Aid Tips

At the beginning of a cold or flu (ask about our Free Flu prevention program)

Take lots of Vitamin C - 3 or 4 doses of 3000mg every day (up to 10,000 mg per day)
(e.g. morning, noon, supper, bedtime)
DO NOT use Orange Juice or Oranges for your Vitamin C - they will increase mucus
Do not use dairy products - they also increase mucous
Stop taking your multi-vitamin if it contains iron - bacteria multiply when iron is present

Drink at least 2 litres of water every day (4 litres is best)

Take lots of Echinacea (liquid is best) for the first 48 hours

Call Jonas Health Centre if you do not feel better after 48 hours. A client’s best remedy is often found by observing their symptoms when they feel their worst. Their symptoms are very clear and quickly point to a remedy that will improve their overall health for the next few months or even years.

If you get a lot of paper cuts, scrapes, open wounds or rashes

Use Calendula liquid to:
keep bacteria from infecting the wound
speed up healing by 50%

Echinacea and Calendula - 100 ml bottle - $20 CAD

Both products are from Homeopathic Pharmacies and have much higher concentrations of active ingredients than Health Store brands.
